Update
My doesn't time fly, so much has happened since i last wrote on this page. I'll try and make it follow on!
OK we had a good journey to France and Belgium and we have been again since, amazing how much the Mrs and father-in-law smoke, or is it that time just fly's? Anyway we have done that, been on holiday once to a little fishing place near Kings Lynn in April, fishing was poor and the site left something to be desired but it could of been such a fantastic money spinner with the right application, following this and the fact that the Mrs fishes aswell, she then wanted to run a fishery, which is a fantastic idea and something i would love to do, but the finances do not currently stack up :(
We have seen our children make some big moves over the period as well, Sasha who is at dance college has moved into her new flat in London and has introduced us to her new boyfriend, James who is a now ex-pro footballer, nice lad so thats something. So she has become a little more independent, although we wont count the cost of moving her! Then Gemma has now got a new flat also, doesn't move in for a couple of weeks, but as she has completed her training and now works for Cleveland Police she is also making a good life for herself, she also has a new fella in her life (Paul) and all seems rosy in the garden. Anthony (20) has for the first time ever gone away with the lads for a holiday (booze and sex more like, lucky sod ;) but nice to see him spreading his wings and getting on with life. Katie is as always practical and enjoying her new home with partner Danny, who is also making good inrodes into the British karting Championships. As for the younger members of the family Amy, Hannah and Grace they are doing their thing, between school and friends.
I sold my ZX6r for something a little less sporty but more comfortable to ride over greater distances so i plumbed for a GSXF 750, which is great and all i have to do now is get the mrs on the back of it for a jolly out. With this in mind i also joined the Royal British Legion Riders Branch, well as an ex-serviceman i thought i should do my bit for the Poppy Appeal and give something back to those servicemen and women who serve this country (even if i think the government are a bunch of freeloading assholes no matter what party the represent!) but thats a different story. So i'm back on the road enjoying my time on the bike and cant wait to do more really.
Nearly forgot the fishing then...lol now we have started the season for match fishing, i fish with Tamworth Royal Naval Association, good bunch of lads and with the inclusion of a couple of the wives, mine included the competition is good and as the father-in- law joins us aswell its a family outing each weekend, thank god for a big car and now with the addition of a trailer were set for the season.
Mentioning the trailer leads me into our main family holiday next week, were taking the younger kids with us and will have the father-in-law with us, the older kids are threatening to comedown and visit us as well, so Wroxham will be invaded next week, but lets hope the fishing lives up to previous visits. We hire a cottage right on the riverside near the boatyards and we have upto now always had good weather and excellent fishing, especially on a night when the big bream get out on the feed. This time i suppose we will have to forego some of the daytime fishing to entertain the kids, but i'm sure we will make up for it ;)
Anyway i think thats all i need to update everything, hope you enjoyed reading my drivel!
Till next time, keep smiling :)
Future
Busy weeks ahead, the kids are off on half term next week, so having them all home not only will be fun but also stressful, but thats the price you pay for having them ;)
My partner at i are intending to do a booze and cigs trip across the channel next week, all wrapped up in Valentines day, hopefully we'll have fun in the process, we've done several of these now and they are generally good trips.
Eurotunnel is painless, your not left hanging around too much and the 30 or so minutes your on the train is just time enough to either grab a bite to eat or to catch 40 winks.
We're staying in Folkestone overnight which breaks the journey up nicely from the midlands as its four hours drive down.
France itself around Calais and the surrounding areas is pleasant and quite easy to navigate especially these days with SatNav :) One day we'll take our time and really spend sometime in France and Western Europe, we cross the border into Belgium usually to collect the cigarettes as they are marginally cheaper and we have taken a trip upto Holland to meet friends but we will definately have to take time out at somepoint and do the place justice.
New site and new image.
Welcome to my new site, the skinning is courtesy of Arcsin.Se i liked the theme so thought i'd use it till i get to grips with CSS myself. I have provided links to some other things i'm involved with, gaming site, forums and other sites, all of which are currently done for fun but you never know with these things they may take off.
I will be "messing" with the CSS of this site and some of the other webpages i have, all for my learning and practice so please dont yell at me if something is wrong or missing. Enjoy the pages and links, let me know what you think but like i said i'm an amateur so cut me some slack!
